Intern Position: Turfgrass Agronomist Intern

Compensation: $22.00/HR
Timeframe: 10-Week Summer Program
Travel Stipend: $350/WK (Food-Fuel)
State Date: 6/2/2025
Time Requirements: 35-40 HR/WK
Travel: To Market Facilities, Customer Properties, Department Meetings, Industry Events
Majors: Bachelor/Masters (Turfgrass Science, Turfgrass Management, Horticulture, Agronomy, Plant Biology or Related Field of Study)
GPA Requisites: 3.0+ Preferred

Program Overview
This unique internship program with the country's largest supplier of lawn and landscaping services will link students with one of our 14 Regional Technical Managers who are experts in the field of agronomy, horticulture, business processes, industry trends and regulatory affairs. Based on your location, interns will be paired with the most suitable mentor who’s mission is to expose you to their job, as well as the many departments and functions within TruGreen. The goal is to build your knowledge of the inner workings of a successful Green Industry company.
Your 10-week program is intended to engage and expose you to as many passionate leaders and associates as possible within multiple levels of the organization.
Meaningful Internship Journey Activities
Participation in Rotational Activities Designed To Gain Exposure To Multiple Levels / Departments Within The Organization (i.e. Service, Science, Product, Procurement, HR, etc.)
Assists in Development of Agronomic and Horticultural Updates Based on Seasonal Needs
Taking on an Independent Project that Helps Drive Company Innovation
Assists with Branch Product Usage Reporting and Analysis
Assists with Science-Based Field Training Programs
Assists with Technical Writing & Editing Projects (i.e. Blog, Marketing Material, Website, Customer literature and Industry Publications).
Assists with Regulatory Compliance Audits
Opportunity to Collaborate in Cross-Functional Workgroup Projects
Engagement With Regional, Departmental and Executive Leadership
Participation in Field Based Activities (i.e. customer visits, field inspections, compliance checks)
Intern Qualifications
Proficient in Microsoft Windows: PowerPoint, Word Excel and MS Teams
Must be at Least Incoming Junior Status B.S.
Good Interpersonal Skills
Successfully Completed At Least 2 Courses Focused on Turfgrass Science or Horticultural Science
Ability to speak, read and write fluently in English is required.

Pay Ranges
$27,669.00 - $51,188.00This range is based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience, and geographic location, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay range. The upper end of the range will generally be reserved for candidates with extensive experience. An employee’s pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. In addition to monetary compensation, we offer benefits, including Medical/Dental/Vision insurance and Company-matching 401(k) in addition to other programs and perks.
